Beside each local scholarship below, you will find some criteria for scholarships. Find scholarships that interest you, verify that you qualify for those scholarships, and ask your School Counselors for applications! If you have any questions, please visit the Guidance Office.
Blake McAmis Family Scholarship - Any SHS graduating Senior
Bonnie Furrow Scholarship - Any SHS graduating Senior who works for, or has a parent/guardian who works for, Sweetwater Hospital Association
Charlotte Starnes Public Service Award - Any SHS graduating Senior who has school & community involvement
Clinton Riddle Public Service Award - Any SHS graduating Senior who has school & community involvement
East TN Foundation Scholarships - Various Scholarship Opportunities for students in East TN
The Goldman "Goldie" Barefield Scholarship - Formally accepted student at TWU, 3.0 GPA, ACT of 18
Joe & Carolyn Sherlin Scholarship - 3.0 GPA, 18 ACT, good character & work habits
Keep Monroe County Beautiful (Judy Patterson Memorial Scholarship) - community service involvement; strong desire to protect the environment
Kelly Perry Memorial Scholarship - 3.5 GPA; active involvement in 3 or more SHS clubs
L.N. McDowell Memorial Scholarship - 3.0 GPA; 18 ACT
Michael Lowry Memorial Scholarship (MCEA) - exhibit leadership, community involvement, and commitment to higher education
Monroe County Farm Bureau Scholarship - Graduating seniors with an agriculture emphasis/major
Monroe County Retired Teachers Association - Student planning to pursue a career in teaching
Ralph White Scholarship - Graduating seniors of Sweetwater High School; for those not eligible to receive other scholarships
The Rotary Club of Tellico Lake - scholastic ability, community service, sense of civic responsibility, & financial need
Shelter Insurance Scholarship - Graduating seniors of SHS; School and Community involvement
St. Mary Catholic Church Education Scholarship - Any SHS graduating Senior, does not have to be Catholic
Sweetwater Kiwanis Club Scholarship - 3.0 GPA; 18 ACT; Community Service; Good character; Essay & letter of recommendation submissions
Sweetwater Lions Club - School & community involvement
United Methodist Women (W.O.R.L.D.) - 2.8 GPA; member of a faith community (any religion or denomination), a commitment to social justice and/or community service, and enrolled in a 4-year institution
Vivian Haun Educational Technology Scholarship Application - 3.0 GPA; for students pursuing a career in education or technology
W.T. Shope Family Scholarship - 3.0 GPA; 18 ACT
