Mrs. Shannon Henderson – Inclusion Teacher & CDC Case Manager

Hello! My name is Shannon Henderson, and I am proud to serve as the Inclusion Teacher and Case Manager for CDC at our school. This is my 16th year in education, and I remain just as passionate about supporting students as I was when I first began. My goal is always to help students grow, succeed, and reach their full potential — both academically and personally. I began my teaching career at Sweetwater Elementary School, where I taught 3rd and 4th grades from 2010 to the 2025 school year. Now, I’m excited to continue my journey in special education and student support services here.

A Little About Me
Outside of the classroom, I’m very involved in my local community and am an active member of First Baptist Church in Madisonville. I absolutely love being a mom — my two children, Caroline and Grayson, keep me busy with their many extracurricular activities.
Our family is especially passionate about sports. You’ll often find me at the basketball gym, on the baseball or softball field, or cheering from the sidelines. My daughter, Caroline, is a middle school student and plays point and shooting guard, while my son, Grayson, is in second grade and is already following in her athletic footsteps. My husband, Christopher, also coaches basketball, so we’re a full-court-press kind of family!
I feel incredibly blessed to work in a role where I can make a difference every day. Supporting students and watching them grow into confident, capable learners is one of my greatest joys.
