My Bio

Hello!  I am Mr. Jones!  This is my 4th year as the the Library Media Specialist and Tech Lead at Sweetwater High School.  Although I was born in Kokomo, Indiana, both of my parents came from East Tennessee, my mother graduated from Vonore High School, every vacation I ever had was spent in this area, and I have lived in (or around) Maryville since 1995.  I worked in Knox County from 2008 until 2021 teaching English, U.S. History, Contemporary Issues, Creative Writing, Film Studies, and RTI.  In January of 2022, I became the Library Media Specialist at Madisonville Intermediate School as I finished up my own classes at ETSU to become a certified School Librarian.  Entering year 4 at SHS is just as exciting as day 1, and I continue to thoroughly enjoy working with the faculty, administration, staff, and all of our students.
