Teacher Bio Page

I am one of the agricultural educators here at Sweetwater High School and FFA Advisors. I have a background in the agricultural field as well as wildlife and habitat management. After College, I worked for TWRA as a fisheries technician until my husband and I moved back home to Polk County, TN. We have two amazing, wild little boys that we spend most of our time with in the outdoors and on the farm. I began working as a teaching assistant and then continued my education to gain my Masters and teaching license. The thing I love most about being an educator
is getting to experience something different everyday with my students. In agricultural education, each day is unique. Some days we may be working in the barn shearing sheep, planting plants at the greenhouse, or working on students' individual SAE projects. Each day is full of adventure and the students gain more than just general knowledge, they are learning soft skills to help them through life.
