BIO
I attended Sweetwater High School from 2000-2004 and had the time of my life! While a student at Sweetwater, I was involved with numerous activities: FCA, Student Council, Class Officer, Key Club President, Beta Club, Prom Committee, Basketball, Football Cheerleading, Cross Country, and Track and Field. (Students - Get involved! It makes school way more fun.)
After high school, I attended Tennessee Wesleyan College on an academic scholarship. (Make sure you apply early to take advantage of scholarships!) While at Tennessee Wesleyan College, I joined BCM, FCA, Alpha Xi Gamma, the college newspaper and was a peer tutor. In 2008, I graduated from Tennessee Wesleyan College summa cum laude with a Bachelor's Degree in History and Secondary Education. I minored in Political Science and received the History Award. I finished my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction in 2010 and have started another Masters of Arts in History. I have always loved school and hope you will love your time at SHS too. In 2008, I married my high school sweetheart, Greg, and we have two amazing daughters, Lily and Katie. I love to watch my girls play sports and spend time with my family. We live on a dairy farm in Sweetwater in the original farmhouse, which was built in 1914. I feel privileged to live in Sweetwater and work at my alma mater. Go Wildcats!
*Students can feel free to stop by and see me with any questions about SHS, our community, or their future career path. I love to help students figure out how to connect at SHS and in our community. Go Cats!
