Bio

Hi! I'm Ms. Harris, the first year HVAC Teacher here at SHS.  I Graduated from SQHS in 2012, but have since been converted to a proud WILDCAT! I have a bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. After graduation, I worked for the State's Department of Children's Services in McMinn and Meigs Counties. After many, and I mean MANY long nights with the department I left my position and began my career in HVAC. I worked in the community for almost 5 years for my father's company, Harris Refrigeration.

 

 This is a new program for the county, and I am very much looking forward to building it with my students and administrators. I hope through my class, your kids can learn some skills they otherwise may have never been exposed to, or even refine some of the skills they already have. The trades in general are dwindling significantly, especially in our community. Exposing our children to alternate routes of education and careers outside of the traditional university path is something I am very passionate about. 

 

 Our goal here in CTE is to create competent and hirable employees to feed back into our trades and workforces. I hope to contribute to the already successful graduates of CTE for years to come.
