My Bio

Hello!  I am the Library Media Specialist and English teacher at Sweetwater High School.  Although I am originally from Kokomo, Indiana, both of my parents are from East Tennessee, my mother graduated from Vonore High School, every vacation I ever had was spent in this area, and I have lived in Maryville since 1995.  I worked in Knox County from 2008 until 2021 teaching English, U.S. History, Contemporary Issues, Creative Writing, Film Studies, and RTI.  In January of 2022 I became the Library Media Specialist at Madisonville Intermediate School as I finished up my own classes at ETSU to become a certified School Librarian.  I am excited to be in my second year at SHS and look forward to working with all of our students.
