Masterpiece Monday

This week we will visit with our friendly painter Bob Ross. Many of you inquired about doing a Bob Ross type painting while we were in session. I have uploaded the official Bob Ross site where you can watch every episode of his television series. Your mission is to attempt your favorite painting along with the master. If you do not have oil paint, use acrylic, or even opaque water color. There is no wrong way to do your art. Remember have FUN!!

Art History Menu

I trust you had a safe and happy Easter.
Please take time this week to complete  2  of the assignments on the Art History Menu.
You can pick the artist/style of your choice for any portion of the Menu.
Take your time and do your best creative work.
See you back as school soon!

Welcome SHS virtual Art Class

To all my SHS students,
I hope you are doing well during this time of "social distancing". There are several posts this morning to keep your creativity going during this break from our traditional classroom. The good news is there is no limit on your studio time!
Both, art I and art II students can create beautiful artwork while at home. Take the time to really work on your art. Begin by creating a still life of flowers from an up close and personal view point. There are a couple artist biographies on Georgia O'Keeffe posted for you. Take inspiration from Ms. O'Keeffe and create a masterpiece of your own. Bring out the beauty of spring by really enlarging flowers and work on the shapes and intense color....You be the Artist!
Hopefully, we will return to school very soon,
Until then, GO CREATE!!!! Show me your true artistic talent!
