  • If you are on a smartphone or a tablet: 

  • Download the Duolingo app and open it up.

  • Press Get Started. Then select Spanish.
  1. Set your Daily Goal and continue (you can change this later).
  2. Create a Profile: 
    • On Android, press the menu icon at the top right corner and press Create a Profile.
    • On iOS, press Profile in the top left corner and press Create a Profile.
  1. Type in your Name, Email and Password, then press Create.
  2. Go to your Profile and press Progress Sharing. 
  3. Type in your Classroom Code:

    • Complete Lesson 1 
      • You will be required to review the vocabulary for madre, padre, inteligente, elegante, tiene, carro and casa
      • You will have to complete sentences, fill-in the words, and pronunciate words.
    • Create 1 sentence using the vocabulary learned on today’s lesson

    • Go into the Family Unit
    • Complete Lesson 2
      • You will be required to review the vocabulary for hermano, hermana, muy, perro, grande, bonito, and grande
      • You will have to complete sentences, fill-in the words, and pronunciate words.
    • Create 2 sentences using the vocabulary learned on today’s lesson

      • This day will provide with the opportunity to review the verb Tener (to have) and Vivir (to live).

    • Your focus will be to complete “Cultura Diaria”
    • Color the map for Uruguay 
    • Label the capital of the county 
    • Write 5 interesting facts about the county
    • Whenever you return to school, I will provide you with the cultura diaria facts from the powerpoint slide presentation. (As you know, you’ll need this information for your final cultura diaria test). 
    • Create a short story implementing the vocabulary learned in the Family Unit.
    • Extra credit: collect points by completing 75 XP Goal
